Eating Dog Meat is a Savage Practice

11 jailed for selling toxic dog meat in Central China

This headline is from today's China Daily with a story of seven people who were sentenced for selling poisoned dog meat.  It's barbaric and awful.  I'm glad they went to prison.  I sort of don't feel bad for people who ate the tainted canine.  

The excuse I hear for the barbaric practice of dining on dog is especially popular in the winter.  People claim that it helps keep you warm.  Bullshit.  So does a dog on your lap.
